Welcome to Patch Dog Training 

Agility , Scentwork & Hoopers

The Patch is a privately-owned purpose-built dog training facility just outside Comber which is close to Belfast, Bangor, Newtownards and Dundonald.  It is there that my friends and I offer training sessions in Agility , Scentwork and Hoopers for all levels of ability and a very warm welcome awaits should you choose to train with us.

All training is delivered by my small , but very accomplished and dedicated , team of trainers and contact details of them and what they provide are included in the following sections . 

Apart from helping with training  your dog(s)  my personal hope is that when you visit the Patch you will take time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the company of fellow dog lovers  and  after each visit you will leave having had fun and feeling encouraged !

During the Covid lockdowns of 2020 & 2021 I  had plenty of time to reflect on the importance of ” mental well-being ” and , specifically , the valuable potential contribution that the Patch could make to dog-lovers .  I am delighted to confirm that I  have received  planning permission for the erection of a couple of glamping pods on -site so that visitors to the area and /or those requiring a short convalesence break with their dog can be made welcome and spend quality time with fellow dog – lovers . The intention is to have at least one of these operational by the end of 2026 !
